Clinical Modalities

Acupuncture

In my practice of acupuncture, I seldom use more than four needles per treatment.

This is the primary modality I employ for my clinical work.

Moxibustion

When called for, I may also burn dried Mugwort (Ai Ye, 艾叶) directly or indirectly over strategically located regions of the body as a heat therapy.

Tuina

I perform a particular style of Tuina (Chinese Medicine bodywork) that incorporates very light and subtle touch. Performed this way, Tuina can be effectively used to treat internal medicine (内科) conditions.

It is an excellent options for patients who do not enjoy receiving needles.

Qigong Prescriptions

Qigong 氣功 exercises, when correctly prescribed, can be as important as the treatment itself.
